Kele are we twins?
I Am A: Neutral Good Human Ranger (5th Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-11
Dexterity-10
Constitution-9
Intelligence-13
Wisdom-13
Charisma-11
Alignment:
Neutral Good A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class:
Rangers are skilled stalkers and hunters who make their home in the woods. Their martial skill is nearly the equal of the fighter, but they lack the latter's dedication to the craft of fighting. Instead, the ranger focuses his skills and training on a specific enemy a type of creature he bears a vengeful grudge against and hunts above all others. Rangers often accept the role of protector, aiding those who live in or travel through the woods. His skills allow him to move quietly and stick to the shadows, especially in natural settings, and he also has special knowledge of certain types of creatures. Finally, an experienced ranger has such a tie to nature that he can actually draw on natural power to cast divine spells, much as a druid does, and like a druid he is often accompanied by animal companions. A ranger's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that he can cast.

Progress so far
I know I have not been on here for such a very long time. I have been busy studying and working, and going to class. I have some very good news for you. These are my latest test scores. Module 2 84. Module 3 88. I am not very proud of my Module 2 score because that module consisted of ABC and CPR. However, my module 3 score was the second highest in the class.
As a treat for getting past Module 3, I rewarded myself with an awesome stethoscope. It wasn't very expensive. It is a Prestige Clear Sound. This stethoscope is supposed to let you hear heartbeats and lung sounds under 10 layers of terry cloth. Does it? Oh yes it does! And it only costs 29.99. I got it at www.greenscrubs.com. I also got myself a pair of emt-pants. They don't fit so I need to send them back for the appropriate size.
I have my Module 4A test tomorrow. That deals with oxygen, nitro, and epinephrine administration.
On a side note. I have worked, studied, and went to class so much, I had to get away for awhile. So, luckily, Dan (Suz's Mom's BF) rented a condo in Williamsburg for the week. So, Suz and I packed our bags and headed down there for the weekend. What a blessing to leave Crazyland for a weekend. It was wonderful in Normalville. Willamsburg wasn't so bad either. It was not crowded, yet not deserted either. I am sure, Suz will fill you all in.

And the result of the test is...
9 freaking 6! Holy cow! I had to ask if they were sure it was my score. I know I am smart and have a steel trap for a brain at times, but 9 freaking 6?????
I am tired and excited. I have to work tomorrow. Then I need to set up my ambulance fitness physical. I'll let you know how that is too.

Module One Test!
I was told not to freak out tonight by the instructor, but I can't help but freak out! We took our first test tonight. I think I was fine on the written test, it's the practical test I am worried about. I was the first one done with the written, so I was first with the practical. I walked in and everything I have been studying for, went right out the window. I forgot my gloves and was reminded by our "patient". So I regrouped and verbalized BSI and PPE. Then I introduced myself and forgot to ask him his name. I went right into SAMPLE. He stated he had chest pain. Great! I went into OPQRST. Then I just took his vitals. I didn't ask him if I could give treatment. After the vitals I stopped. I forgot all about allergies, medications, last meal and drink, and events leading up to the reason he called. I thought I did great and told we were going to take him in the ambulance to hospital and hopefully they would fix him up. OH CRAP CAP'N! How could you forget all that stuff? It was even written down on my notepad. I was told after I came out that I couldn't go home. I had to wait. Of course, I was stampeded about what was it like, etc.
Well, we were herded back into the classroom when everyone was done. I won't know until tomorrow at the soonest if I need remedial lessons.
While we were waiting, we had to take vitals on the other students. Mine was 160/92. Little high don't ya think?
I am going to try and go not even think about all this craziness. I think I will go play some games online.
Anxiously waiting,

What's going on in EMT class
This past week has been a whirlwind. We devoted an entire 3 hour class to anatomy and physiology. Last night we just started with taking vitals and recording them.
We did
S--Signs and symptoms
A--Allergies
M--Medications
P--Past Medical History
L--Last oral intake(food and liquids)
E--Events leading to present onset
P--Pupils
E--Equal
A--And
R--Reactive
L-- to Light
We learned the six places to check the lungs. We learned how to take BP's using the two methods: palpation and auscultation.
We have had to memorize protocols. So far, we have had to assess the scene upon arrival to size the situation up and to see if we need other resources (another ems team), BSI, PPE, MCI, and MOI.
There you have it. I love this class. I do believe this is the career I should not have waited so long to get into. I do know that I don't want to stop with being an EMT-B. I want to go further. I want to be a medic. And Lord and Lady as my witness, I will not stop until I achieve what I was meant to be.
I miss you guys.

Dealing with...
I am starting to stress out with dealing with 2 jobs, and EMT class. For the last 4 weeks, I had only been able to work my regular job (Wawa) for 2 days a week. I have been battling torn ligaments and soft tissue damage to my left ankle. I was told by the doctor to have a Category 2 sprain. I have not been able to make sure bills have been paid. Then enters my wacky mother with her version of edible food. We have been eating out or buying tv dinners just to exist. Once again, I find my checking account in the red. I am starting to rue the day I bought this computer. I love this computer, I don't think I could part with it. It does help me with my studies. It helps Suz keep in touch with the world she knows, which in itself, keeps her as sane as it can. She's still a loon, but I do love her very, very much.
So, yeah, I am starting to stress. How do I juggle all three, keep sane, and keep up on my studies? Any remedies will be gladly appreciated.
